  Mrs. Mastin united with the Methodist church in Lake City during the pastorate of Rev. C. E. Winder, in 1894, and as long as she was able to do so was a faithful attendant. Over four years ago she was stricken with a lingering illness, and for nearly two years was confined to her bed in a hospital where she passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 1915, at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 15 days.

  She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, and nine children: Mrs. Etta Scott; Edward L. Mastin, both of Lake City; Charles W. Mastin, Herman, Minn;

  Mrs. Dora Tobeck, Wheaton, Minn; Mrs. Eva L. Bosley, Council Bluffs; Perry D. Mastin, Council Bluffs; Mrs. F.L. Rodius, Tacoma, Wash; J.W. Mastin, Cedar Rapids; and Elmer O. Mastin, North Platte, Neb. Two children have preceded their mother to the better land., Minnie, aged 11, who died March 18, 1901; and Della O. who died Nov. 4, 1872, aged 2 months.

  Besides the husband and children, two sisters are left, Mrs. Jane Moorhead of California, and Mrs. M. E. Hashaw of Grand Junction, Iowa, besides many friends.

  The funeral services were held in Trinity Methodist Church on Friday afternoon, March 5, at 2 o'clock and were conducted by the pastor, rev. A.H. Bryan, assisted by Rev. Thos. Cloud. The remains were laid to rest in the Lake Creek cemetery.
